The rain yesterday flooded the pond - marsh just north of the Rr tracks at Gilmore metro park. And the Ellis wetlands field area has been plowed under - so lots more shorebird habitat. That place also had water. Not as much as I thought it would be though. Hopefully it doesn’t dry up too soon. I had very little time. I wanted to see the water levels more than anything. Well, a Godwit would have been nice! Just the regulars for me today. No Western or Stilt Sandpiper. Both Yellowlegs, Least and Pec. Snd killdeer.
Good birding all. There was some migrant push last night. If I get a chance I will hit Armleder for a couple hours Friday morning. Before work.
