On Sat. (12-9), I had a Merlin, just north of Chillicothe...time was 11:05am. Was a good raptor day, as lots of Redtails were out, and got to watch a Coopers take a Starling(good to see!).

Also had a single Sandhill Crane flying over Rt. 23, just south of town...over a large pond there...lots of cornfields around, but he was acting odd, like could not find a good place to land? He circled several times, than flew off in direction of Ross Lake. Only saw 1...I did not see any others, and checked all fields around.

Bill and Donna Bosstic had a Rusty Blackbird at their feeders on Sat, also.

A Rough-legged Hawk is back too...(we had one in same place last year), in an area...a few miles south of Chillicothe...of Rt. 50...near Alt Road and Concord Church... Delorme pg.78 b-2.5
