An interesting day to say the least..
I had planned on fishing the Gallipolis Locks & Dam for hybrid striped bass, but the Ohio River looked like chocolate milk..

Before I left, I was having coffee on my back deck and had a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher just feet away from the house. First time seeing this species in a few years. Last time, was in my yard as well.

Old Lock 27 Fishing Access- (10) Black Terns. Great looks, as they literally buzzed me, probably less than 20 feet. It was hard for my camera to focus at times..

I went home to fry my camera, and a few miles downstream from Lock 27 at Harris Riverfront Park in Huntington, WV, my birding friends located (9) American Avocets.
While observing them, another friend noticed a peep near the group of AMAV, which turned out to be a Sanderling!

Looking forward to the next few weeks!
