Hello all,

I had many gulls, ~150, headed south today. Mostly Ring-billeds, but birders
at Hoover and Alum should be on the watch for gull numbers over the next
couple weeks. As you know, last year produced some good stuff in those
areas. (AND I'M REALLY HOPING THEY USE THE OLENTANGY TO GET DOWN THERE! :P )
Here are a few things around campus over the past few days:

Canada Geese- hundreds
Common Goldeneye- 3 females (campus bird #156)
American Black Duck- 3
Mallards- hundreds
Green-winged Teal- 1 (campus bird #158)
Northern Pintail- 1 male (campus bird #157)
Hooded Merganser- 1 female
Pied-billed Grebe- 1
Ringed-billed Gull- a few hundred, all moving south over the past few days
Herring Gull- 1
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker- 1
Red-winged Blackbird- 160 today moving dead north- could passerine migration
already be starting?!
