Blendon Woods - back loop of goldenrod trail had the most bird activity; fall leaf color was very good back there too
Magnolia warblers
yellow rumped warblers - lots
black throated green warbler
Nashville warblers
Tennessee warbler
Golden crowned kinglets
ruby crowned kinglets
white throated sparrows
Woodside Green - had a different type of warbler "wave" today
I walked down to the creek from the parking lot and found an adult Black throated green warbler. I watched him forage in a tree,
then he dropped to the edge of the creek and started bathing. In seconds, he was joined by a couple of pine warblers,
a bay breasted warbler and an immature black throated green. A chestnut sided warbler slipped in next to the bay breasted.
Two golden crowned kinglets and a ruby crowned kinglet added to the bathing crowd.
An immature yellow bellied sapsucker came in and perched on a small trunk 18 inches above the water but apparently
decided to just watch the fun from his perch.
A couple of chickadees and a titmouse also joined the party. The group started to disperse but a yellow throated warbler
managed to fly in and get wet before the others had all left.
