I reported on Monday that I saw a pale yellow color variant, and today I saw one on my feeders who had a more orangey color, presumably based on the blending of the yellow and red. I am rather baffled (and certainly surprised and happy ) at seeing these two color variants in the same week in my area, having only seen one before this week - ever (an orangey one a few years ago). There must be some unusual food source around here that’s prompting [...][log in to unmask]
