Susan Jones and I spent about three hours in the rain, fog and 40-degree temperatures at Clear Fork
Res. this morning to no avail in search of the Pacific Loon. We spoke with several other birders and no
one had seen it. There were about 50 Common Loons in various plumages and a half dozen Double-
crested Cormorants, plus a scattering of Horned Grebes and Red-breasted Mergansers.
