I saw the Swainson's Warbler along the Tecumseh Trail in New Carlisle the morning of May 14th. It's not far from the parking lot area that Cole DiFabio indicated (thanks Cole!). Look for the crossed sticks on the left side of the trail in the grass, and most importantly, you may not see other birders along the trail- they are often in the bushes a little ways to the left of the trail along a narrow animal path.

The warbler was often singing in this area and was seen close up. It sometimes flies a moderate distance away across a tiny stream where you can hear it singing but cannot see it due to thick undergrowth. From what others were saying, the warbler was not making appearances that you could see from the Tecumseh Trail, hence the reason people were going into the bushes a little ways. When I saw the bird, it was singing in a tree not quite straight up but at a high angle, not quite visible from the trail.

Another thing to see- from the Swainson's Warbler general location along the trail, you can see a tall sycamore tree that has a Red-Shouldered Hawk nest in it. I saw a parent feeding two chicks in the nest there.

Here's my ebird report of the sighting, including pictures-
