Forgot to post this yesterday, not that I saw anything unusual on a quite pleasant afternoon walk.
Was happy to see a Golden-crowned Kinglet that was hanging out w/a couple titmice & chickadees. Also saw a pair of Pileated WPs flying silently thru the woods going from tree to tree, maybe looking for nest hole sites? Also saw a pair of Hairy WPs as well as a Red-bellied.
Mallard hen, Red-tailed adult, RW Blackbirds. Only sparrow was Song—the brush where I had seen the flock of Tree Sparrows the other day yielded a small flock of juncos. Several Robins feeding on the lawn of the house near the parking lot.
