Went searching for a mystery shorebird this morning. Turned out to be
Nothing unusual - these things need to be checked out! And I found
Where all the shorebirds are - the flooded east side fields. At least
I know where to search now. Except that my shorebird survey is from
The bike path….. I'll continue with that! Something might show up!
Loads of Least Sandpipers, solitary and spotted. And a few of both
Yellowlegs. And I picked up Northern waterthrush for the year.

Armleder in Hamilton county was next. Struck out twice on Bobolink
And Clay colored sparrow. Did have YB Cuckoo back deep at the
Overlook area. Loads of migrants there this morning - from fellow
Birders. Quiet at mid day for me. Dickcissel was singing yesterday there
Not today. I am not adjusting my big day route. Shawnee it is for
My start.

Good birding all.
