Hi

Did BBS in the central gardens of The Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, today.
45 species. Highlights included copulating behavior by White-breasted
Nuthatches and Bluebirds defending nest boxes from Tree Swallows. For
those who don't know Tree Swallows have begun to take both boxes in the
pairs set on trails, leaving no place for the Bluebirds.

Other birds of interest were a Sora on Blueberry Pond. Pine and
Yellow-Rumped Warblers, Savannah Sparrow, and Purple Finch. Good ducks on
Corning Lake but not a huge variety.

Haans
