Hi,

When this happens, it's not the list being "hacked", it's a compromised
email account of someone who's subscribed to the list. Many Yahoo email
accounts get taken over -- hijacked -- and then the accounts (and their
address books) are used by spammers and scammers.

"Yahoo Mail users have been seeing their accounts broken into for months.
While Yahoo says it has plugged at least two separate security holes leading
to accounts getting hijacked, it appears the problem persists."

Hope this helps.

Robins and killdeer and woodcocks are here in northeast Ohio! No towhees
yet, and tree sparrows are still around.
