Six years and change ago I moved to Cleveland from Central New York. As
some of you are aware, for a while now I have been looking for an
opportunity to move back to my home town of Syracuse. Well, my search
has borne fruit and in two weeks I will be departing. I just wanted to
post a goodbye to the list and express my thanks to various individuals. [...]49_10Feb200811:33:[log in to unmask]

Overnight freezing temperatures and and inch+ of snow has dispersed the flocks of snbus seen yesterday morning. There are still plenty of them present along with a few Lapland Longspurs and horned larks but many were further out out in the fields and on the ice today between 10 am and noon. There were also about 60 Tundra Swans in the unfrozen field ponds West of Cloverdale Road between Greensburg Pike and Portage Rd. Greensburg Pike and Portage Road are closed due to high water. Cloverdale South is open but may also be closed at the Middle Branch of the Portage River. The roads that are open are pretty slippery and the ditches are very full. If you go out there be careful. Some of those ditches are up to 10 feet deep.
