Larry Gara and I saw the 3 Long-tailed ducks and 2 White-winged Scoters at Cowan lake this afternoon. 7 Ross's geese (or Ross's geese plus some hybrids) also showed up, but they were gone by the time we left.

There still are hundreds of ducks on the lake, mostly Mallards, Ring-necked and Lesser Scaup, but also Greater Scaup, Red-breasted Merganser, Ruddy, Redhead, Bufflehead, American Wigeon, Gadwall, Pintail, Shoveler.

A single Bonaparte's was seen among the hundreds of gulls still present.
