The signs warning of algae bloom are still posted at LaDue, but they
haven't
deterred the fishermen.
Bird numbers on the lake were very light. Only two dozen ducks that I
could find,
and they were well towards the damn. Of those I could only pick out
the 6 ruddy ducks.
One American pipit on the shoreline was the a pleasant diversion.
Otherwise a few
killdeer, a couple of dc cormorants and four pied billed grebes. A
couple of
dozen ring billed gulls, a few c geese.
