[log in to unmask][log in to unmask], 16 Jul 2011 13:36:02 -0400567_iso-8859-1 As of 1:15PM the two Piping Plovers are still present at the previously described location in Lorain. We were here from 11AM to 1:15PM; a great variety of bird species are here. The following are some the other highlights: Caspian Tern, Ruddy Duck (1 male in breeding plumage), Common Moorhen, American Coot (mom with six kids), Hooded Merganser, Lesser Yellowlegs, Dunlin, Least Sandpiper, Semipalmated Plover, Marsh Wren, Spotted Sandpiper, and Barn Swallows galore, just to name a few! Also a couple of baby fawns with their mothers. Bob and Denise Lane44_16Jul201113:36:[log in to unmask]

Hope everyone's summer Atlasing is progressing well.

For those in the Toledo area or canoeing around on the Maumee, we just had a
gentleman report a pair of ECDO on Audubon Island off Perrysburg in the
river.

Photos were not good enough to confirm but the description fit the species.
