I hit Caeser Creek and Spring Valley in Warren county today.
Slow...... Spring valley had Mute Swan...... Rusty Blackbird,
Bufflehead, Wood Duck. Song Sparrows and Flickers singing.
Caesar Creek - the spots i hit - were almost dead. not sure why.
Fernald in Hamilton was its usual birdy self! Water levels looked high.
But the waterfowl were happy! Good variety. not that high numbers though.
Not like Randy's totals! Good numbers of Shovelers, Wigeon, RN Ducks.
A couple drake BW Teal. Eastern Meadowlark singing. No success with the Rough legged Hawk hanging around there. But I didn't have much time.....
Nature notes - I found Skunk cabbage! Spring Valley. Neat! I have been looking.
Good birding all.
