I ran into a family of Sandhill Cranes at the Killbuck Wildlife Area in Wayne County near Wooster. According to a few locals, they've been hanging around the field on Kimber rd (between Valley and Willow) for about a week. They are very tolerant to people on the road. Please note the field is private property. The photos in the link below were all taken from the road. Here's a link to the map. The field is right before Willow Rd. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Killbuck+Wildlife+Area+Ohio&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=51.089971,118.388672&ie=UTF8&cd=1&ll=40.711126,-81.969874&spn=0.012052,0.028903&t=h&z=16 Here's a link to some photos http://www.pbase.com/bernarrking/sand_hill_cranes ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
