I've had many birdwtaching successes over time, and have had a
wonderful year, but the one thing that
still eludes me is seeing an actual awake owl in the wild.  I've seen
sleeping owls in nests, but not yet
one actually doing anything active.   I'm wondering if anyone has some
advice about the best way to try
to find one, in pretty much any habitat (I live in the city, but spend
plenty of time in the Cleveland area
metroparks.)  I've *heard* barred owls but have not been able to find
them, but I'm open to suggestions
for finding any kind of owl.
