Julie and I birded some at Buck Creek State Park this morning. At the north
end of the lake we found a Great Egret and a Franklin's Gull. We watched
from the east side of the lake and saw them across the mudflats to the west.
We did not see the pelicans that had been there for most of three weeks.
There are still lots of cormorants. We also saw a pair of Common Mergansers
and four Buffleheads. Both teal were present.

On the trails south of the horsemen's area we saw our first Black-and-white
Warbler of the season.
