At the location reported by Doreene Linzell earlier today, I found one
alternate plumage Laughing Gull about one quarter mile beyond the
observation platform on the southside of Rt 6. Met Dan Gesaldo (Dano), and
we checked the Caspian Tern flock in the impoundment across the road from
the gull flock on the north side of Rt 6. It can be viewed from close to
the pump house and parking area, walking up the bank and looking east.
Dano found a single American Avocet! Gorgeous! Great ending to the day.
