The OBBA publication (of 1st Atlas) has on the cover an artists (Jim Glover) picture of a wet area with snags - Prothonotary Warbler, Wood Duck, and Tree Swallow with a Red-headed Woodpecker on one of the snags. There are such wet areas with snags on the west side of Mosquito Lake - ( no Prothonotary Warblers) where I have seen in past years Red-headed Woodpeckers and young. Of course there are oak woods right next to these areas and I've noticed acorn stashing/ retrieving on these snags but never nesting in the snags. So they do frequent such wet areas. Possibly the snags are a good place to stash acorns? Wonder if the artist was painting from a known location or making up the scene?
