1) For your information, I will be presenting at the All Ohio Safety
Congress on Thursday April 16, 2000 in Columbus Ohio. The topic will be
"Fire Safety in Residence Halls" - specifically, effective training
programs for first year students. The presentation will be about 50 minutes
long. Contact me directly if you have any questions or you may want to
attend.

2) All of the 4 yr. colleges/universities in Ohio (Public/Private) will be
receiving a letter from the State Fire Marshal inviting them to a meeting
on Thursday May 4th, 2000 at the Ohio Fire Academy to discuss the issues of
Fires and Fire Safety in residence halls. I am encouraging you to attend
the meeting.
The Fire Marshal has an interest in campus fire safety and the event will
be very productive. if you do not receive the information, please e-mail me
directly and I will make sure the information is sent/faxed over to you. I
see this meeting as another step to bring us as campus fire safety
officials closer together as a professional orginization.
