I am planning a 3 day course titled; Intro to Fire Inspection Principles &
Practices. This class was designed by the National Fire Academy and is
used as an out-reach program.

At this time I am finding out who may have interest in this course, I do
not have a dated planned (sometime this summer I hope).

It would probley be taught at the Ohio Fire Academy (Columbus Ohio area) If
enough interest in expressed, it may be offered 2-3 times through-out the
state.

Cost would be less then $ 100.00 per person.

I would like to make this course available to those responsible for fire
safety in the educational field (college, universities, local school
districs etc.)

Items that will be covered include; basic fire hazard recognition, Overview
of the Ohio Fire and Building codes, non-enforcement fire inspections. If
the course is mostly those in the education field, we will discuss those
related hazards along with emergency and pre-fire planning.

This course is designed for those who are not fire safety inspectors
certified by the state, but who work in private industry and responsible
for fire hazard recognition, certified fire safety inspectors who wish to
brush up on there inspection skills, those responsible for pre-fire and
emergency planning or anyone who has an interest in fire safety.

Please e-mail me your thoughts and interests. I am also stil trying to
touch base with those people at Colleges and Universities in Ohio that
would like to part of the discussion list. If you have a small community
college or contacts with schools in your area please pass this information
along. (both - about the course and this discussion list)

Also, this list is open to those people who are responsible for fire safety
at local school districts in Ohio as well. They have alot of the same
situitions we do.

We have almost 30 members to the group, I hope we can add many more. I am
working on another article for the Ohio Fire Chiefs magazine which will
talk about our group and the good people who belong to it.

Have a nice day, I look forward to hearing from you.

-Randy-
