At CWRU smoking is allowed in residence halls with qualifications and
restrictions: ie only in individual rooms, not in"public" areas and by
agreement with other suitemates/roommates,etc.Smoking is prohibited in all
other buildings and in University vehicles since 1987 by City ordinance.

Our policy on smoking has been and is more driven by health issues than it
is by fire safety issues.
