The Vagina Monologues is a series of monologues about women’s experiences. The Association for Women Students produces it. Miami students, faculty, staff, and community members perform the play. The play is adapted from the book The Vagina Monologues, written by Eve Ensler. The play is based on interviews with over 200 women about their memories and experiences of sexuality. The Vagina Monologues gives voice to women's deepest fantasies and fears, guaranteeing that no one who sees it will ever look at a woman's body, or think of sex, in quite the same way again. From the book the V-Day was founded in 1997, it is a nonprofit grass roots movement dedicated to ending violence against women around the world. In three years, V-Day has spread to over 300 colleges and has raised over 3 million dollars, which it has given to organizations fighting for the rights of women. Thanks to V-Day, The Vagina Monologues has been taken to 20 countries. Please encourage your chapters to come to the Vagina Monologues.
