John,

For me mpic++ points to the Intel compilation, /software/openmpi/1.4.1/intel/bin/mpic++. The error message indicates it's looking in gnu directory for something, so you may want to try the openmpi that's compiled with the GNU compilers. Also, have you tried mpiCC instead of mpic++? These are just some guesses. If you provide me with the source I can play with it a little more and see what's going on.

Thanks,
Jens

Subject: Problem with compiling under mpic++

I am unable to compile a program using mpic++ on redhawk, but am finding that my student is able to compile the exact same code with no problem.

Attached is is the makefile, and a file containing the error messages generated when I do a make. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

John
