Hi Rescomp,
I am having some serious trouble trying to understand the structure  
(and function) of a laTeX document. I am writing a book for Springer  
and they have provided me with a LaTeX template. Although I use LaTeX  
for most of my work, I am still a neophyte, and I am really  
struggling with some debugging of text, and understanding the "book"  
document structure (multipart documents).
Is there someone around who can help me?
