FYI: The OEC of ODE is working on a memo which will identify areas in
which  the Ohio Rules for the Education of Students with Disabilities
differ from the  IDEIA regulations . This will be publlished on the ODE
website and Ann  Cooper-Guinan indicated last Friday, at the OAPSA
meeting, that this will be  available in early November. The memo will
also be sent to Superintendents. ODE will  be revising the Ohio rules over
the next six months, with an expected effective  date for the revised
rules July 1, 2007. ODE will be announcing the process  for public input
into the revision process, which may involve regional  meetings. I will
keep you posted, be sure to regularly check the ODE website.
