Applications to become a major or minor in special education areas are due
March 1.

If you are currently a pre-major you need to read the pertinent information
below. Number 1 is for pre-majors wanting to major or minor in the
following licensure areas: mild/moderate, moderate/intensive, gifted, and
early childhood.

Number 2 is for pre-majors who are interested in applying next year for the
early childhood field block, are currently registered as pre-majors, and
who will apply next year for a major in ECIS.

1.Premajors who have applied to become Special Education Majors --

Applications to become a Special Education Major are due March 1st
(typically of your sophomore year).   Below is a list of students who
currently have applications turned in to be considered for Majors this

2.  Early Childhood Pre-majors planning to take the Early Field Block
during the '01-'02 school year --

Below is a list of pre-majors who are planning to take the Early Field
Block Next Year.  If you, or any of your friends are not on this list, and
thought they were, they need to come into 201McGuffey Hall and fill out a
yellow form to become a pre-major in Special Education (with Early
Childhood licensure).  Please note that acceptance into the Early Field
Block does not insure entrance into the Special Education program as a
Major.
