I'm not sure what more motivation people could need than so-called 
"justice sunday" this past week-end . . . but please call our Ohio 
senators and ask them to oppose the "nuclear option."  the phone call 
is incredibly easy (under a minute)--just tell them you're one of the 
senator's constituents and that you oppose exercising the "nuclear" 
option for such an extremist set of judges (or whatever argument you 
prefer).  senate staffers generally just keep a running tally of "for" 
and "against" any issue (i.e., they won't argue with you or even ask 
why you hold your opinion).  i know everyone's incredibly busy this 
time of year, but if we don't push back aggressively against this 
attempt to erode the line between church and state, it may soon be too 
late.  in our current climate, our republican senators are actually 
much less extreme than many (witness voinovich's stand on bolton), so 
these phone calls can make a difference.
