Economists  wondered at the strength of the nation's economy and discussed
what factors could throw the economy off track.  Quotes Jim Brock
(economics), one of the members.

Industrial Inc. down a new path five years ago and is now a premier
regional provider of playground and landscaping mulch.

Headsets for telephones have traditionally have been associated with
switchboard operators and, more recently, to other office workers, but now
the push is toward headsets at home.   "Cradling a phone on your shoulder
has a high likelihood of causing problems," says Marvin Dainoff (psychology
and director of Miami's Center for Ergonomic Research).

Miami University in Oxford was one of several award winners for the 8th
annual Make a Difference Day and will be spotlighted in Sunday's issue of
USA Weekend in the Journal-News.  In 1988, Miami student Jeff Griffiths
organized a city cleanup crew of 200 volunteers and recruited enough people
to make 1,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a homeless shelter.

All public school district boards of education in Darke County met for
their annual combined meeting sponsored by the Darke County Educational

about the Interactive Video Distance Learning Pilot Project.

The Miami University equestrian hunt seat team was named the regional
champion team for the eighth time in this decade.

University's board of trustees.

Sandusky Register, Tuesday, March 16
The state Controlling Board approved millions of dollars in requests from
Ohio agencies.  Some examples include approving $450,000 for the Gaskill
Student Technology Commons project at Miami University.

Englewood Independent, Thursday, March 18
Susan Morgan (English) was keynote speaker at the Jane Austen Gala at the
University of Dayton.
