WMUB recently introduced a second locally-produced talk show,
"Interconnect," hosted by John Hingsbergen (WMUB) and Cheri Lawson.
The show will feature discussions of spirituality, self-care,
alternative health and lifestyle issues in a call-in interview
format.  Other local programming includes "WMUB Forum," hosted each
Friday morning by Darrel Gray (WMUB).

Feature about artist Larry Sherman (educational psychology) whose
gourd works will be exhibited beginning Sunday at the Fitton Center
for Creative Arts in Hamilton.  A founding member of the Oxford Gourd
and Drum Ensemble, Sherman will perform with the group at the
exhibition's opening reception.  Quotes Sherman and includes photos.

A safe containing about $5,000 from the Miami University Hamilton
bookstore was stolen just two days after someone stole another safe
from Miami's Middletown campus.  Graduation pins and store gift
certificates were also stolen.

Op-ed by John L. Henderson, president of Wilberforce University, says
the future prosperity of Historically Black Colleges and Universities
depends on quality leadership that devotes constant and dedicated
attention to people, programs and plant.  Black enrollment at HBCUs
has increased 26 percent over the past 18 years, a remarkable
achievement considering that institutions such as Yale, Princeton and
Stanford offer complete funding to many of the best black high-school
graduates.
