The Columbus Dispatch and Journal-News, Sunday, Jan. 16
A research team led by James T. Oris (zoology and co-director of the Center
for Environmental Toxicology and Statistics) has received a three-year,
$894,627 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency aimed at
assisting in the preservation of Lake Tahoe.  "Journal-News" says other
Miami-based members of the research team include Sheldon I. Guttman
(zoology) and A. John Bailer (mathematics and statistics).

Journal-News, Tuesday, Jan. 18
Biz (alumna) and Bob (accountancy) Campbell of Oxford have established a
scholarship in the department of theatre at Miami University to recognize
nonperformance roles and to promote involvement in community theatre.
And:
"Everybody Has a Story" section features Oxford Chamber of Commerce's
executive director Susan Manzi.  Manzi moved to Oxford with her fiance,
Rico Blasi, who was named Miami University's hockey coach.

Journal-News, Monday, Jan. 17
A listing of Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrations in Hamilton includes a
luncheon sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Services at Miami
University's Hamilton campus.

"Everybody Has a Story" section features Hamilton High School teacher
Deloris Hudson (alumna) who was recently awarded the John Dolibois Award
from Miami University for her efforts to contribute to the community.

The Miami University-Middletown financial aid office presents "Fundraising
for the Future," a free financial-aid fair for current and potential
students, on Saturday.

The Cincinnati Enquirer, Sunday, Jan. 16
The Flying Cloud Vintage summer dance program was such a hit with its move
to Miami University's Oxford campus last year, a repeat visit is planned.
