Miami police have issued a crime alert to notify the campus about a
robbery that occurred about 1:10 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 4) near the
recreational sports center.
        A male student reported that he was approached by three men who
assaulted him and stole his wallet.  The victim described all three
assailants as white males, but was able to provide a  more detailed
description of only one man.  That assailant was described as about 6 feet
tall, weighing 200 pounds and  wearing shorts and a navy blue t-shirt.
        The three men being sought in this robbery fled the scene and were
last seen running west across the south side of the recreational sports
center.
