Hi WIMSE women!
This is an update on the Spring Sprint Course designed for
WIMSE students. IT will be held the first 5 Tuesday evenings from 6-9
PM in January and first week of February. Instructors will be:
Jan Yarrison-Rice -- Physics -- & Phyllis Callahan -- Zoology -- on
general ideas of how to design a research project and take and analyze
measurements
Nancy Moeckel -- library science -- on searching for scientific
literature and data bases
Aaron Shrimplin -- electronic data center -- on searching and assessing
data bases of information -- in particular, women's health issues
Emily Murphree -- statistics -- on what analysis programs are available
and how to analyze data, when is it meaningful
Phyllis Callahan, Jan Yarrison-Rice, and Unnamed Person -- on using
Power Point and other programs to present finished data
