      10-11 SUPREME COURT CLERKS: The inner workings of the Supreme Court
are rarely discussed in public. Two former Supreme Court clerks and a legal
affairs journalist will discuss the role of clerks in the Court and whether

      11-12: TONY HORWITZ: Journalist Tony Horwitz's book, "Confederates In
the Attic" (Pantheon) is about the enduring presence of the Civil War in
the American South. Horwitz interviewed battle "re-enacters," historians,
and amateur Civil War buffs who keep the Confederacy's memory alive.
 
 
Fresh Air with Terry Gross, 12-1 p.m.
 
      MEREDITH F. SMALL has written the new book "Our Babies, Ourselves:
How Biology and Culture Shape the Way We Are". (Anchor books) Small
explores the various cultural practices used in raising babies. She is also
the author of "Female Choices: Sexual Behavior of Female Primates" and
"What's Love Got to Do With It?" Small is a professor of anthropology at
Cornell University in New York State.
