      10-11: Nuclear Proliferation: This week India announced that it has
conducted several underground nuclear tests. Other nations have  condemned
India's actions amid fears that this could escalate tensions with India's
neighbors Pakistan and China. A panel of  experts will talk about nuclear
proliferation in Asia, and in other areas around the globe. Guests: David
Albright, president of the  Institute for Science and International
Security; Henry Sokolski, executive director of the Nonproliferation Policy
Education Center; Joe  Cirincione, Non-Proliferation Project of the
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; George Perkovitch, Secure World
Program, W.  Alton Jones Foundation
 
      11-12: Gary Hart: Former Senator Gary Hart discusses his new book,
"The Minuteman: Restoring an Army of the People" (Free Press). It offers
his ideas on military reform for the post-Cold War era. Hart argue that our
military has become too large and that we would be better served by a
smaller standing army and a well-trained reserve force.

      We meet Israel's former chief peace negotiator URI SAVIR (OO-re
Sa-VEER). In 1993 he was part of the secret peace negotations in  Oslo
between Israel and the P.L.O. He's written a new memoir about it, "The
Process: 1,100 Days That Changed the Middle East."

      Peter Farrelly, screenwriter and director of the feature films "Dumb
& Dumber" (1994) and "Kingpin" (1996); writer of  fiction, including "The
