everything else that happened on the day the new president took
office. Guests: Dr. Yvonne Scruggs Leftwich, Black Leadership
Council; David Keene, American Conservative Union; Ron Elving,
National Public Radio
Hour 2: Robert Reich, who served as Secretary of Labor during

it is changing life for American workers and families -- for better
and for worse. His new book is called "The Future of Success" (Knopf).

Fresh Air (noon - 1 pm)

AFTER FOUR-HUNDRED AND FORTY-FOUR DAYS OF CAPTIVITY, IRANIAN STUDENTS
RELEASED THE AMERICAN HOSTAGES THEY HAD HELD IN THE U-S EMBASSY IN
TEHRAN. A LOOK BACK AT THAT EVENT, AND A LOOK FORWARD AT CURRENT
RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES. Guests: 1. (from Tehran)
Massoumeh Ebtekar, author "Takeover in Tehran: The Inside Story of
the 1979 US Embassy Capture" (Pub: Talon, Vancouver, Canada); also

All Things Considered (4 - 7 pm)
Selling cigarettes in the 21st century: since the 1998
tobacco settlement, you don't find cigarette ads on billboards, and
you don't see cartoons like Joe Camel anymore. But the cigarette
industry is still working hard for customer loyalty. On All Things
Considered later, hear why some experts believe Big Tobacco's
marketing strategy is more creative and dynamic than ever.

Wednesday on SoundHealth (9 - 10 am, repeated 7 - 8 pm)
Selecting a Fitness Facility That's Right for You. Our
monthly FitTalk program, hosted by "Dr. Jay" Kimiecik, PhD, Associate
