Talk of the Nation
Hour one: FLORIDA RECOUNT NEWS/ABSENTEE BALLOT DEADLINE: In
Florida, the State Supreme court says the vote recount should
continue. Democrats believe that the recount in Palm Beach and
Broward counties might put Al Gore over the top in the race for the
White House. But overseas absentee ballots, which some say may favor
George W. Bush have yet to be counted.
Hour two: RALPH NADER *2000 Presidential Candidate for the Green
Party *Longtime consumer advocate, lawyer and author. For a fringe
candidate, Ralph Nader had quite an impact on the presidential
election. He appealed to many Democrats and has been accused of
costing Al Gore the White House. He wanted at least five percent of
the national vote, but in the end received only 3 percent. What was
the real impact of the Nader presidential run? Where is the Green
Party headed?
