Hour Two: Lori Andrews: Lori Andrews, an expert on
biotechnology, reveals how human tissues are being used, traded, and

not only doctors and researchers, but also artists are using
everything from bones and skin to DNA in new ways.
Fresh Air (Noon - 1pm)
"X-Files" creator CHRIS CARTER. You know the plot...a pair of
F-B-I agents struggle with the supernatural and against government
conspiracies. The show has aired on the Fox network since 1993. Now,
thanks to Carter, there's an X-Files spin-off. "The Lone Gunmen"
premieres this weekend.
Public Interest (1pm - 2pm)
The U.S. Mint: THEY SAY IT CHANGES EVERYTHING. MONEY. FROM
THE SACAJAWEA (sack-KA- jah-weigh-a) DOLLARS TO MINT MISTAKES WORTH
MILLIONS. THE DIRECTOR OF THE U-S MINT JOINS KOJO TO TALK ABOUT A
VERY POPULAR SUBJECT. Guest: Jay Johnson, Director, U.S. Mint,
Department of Treasury
Talk of the Nation (2pm - 4pm)
Hour One: PRESIDENTIAL PARDON HEARINGS: Congressional
hearings into former president Bill Clinton's pardon of fugitive
financier Marc Rich are entering a new phase.
Hour Two: TABLOID JOURNALISM VS. MAINSTREAM MEDIA: When
tabloid magazines like the National Enquirer are breaking major news
stories and TV news programs are covering the lives of celebrities,
it can be hard for some to tell the difference between the two.
All Things Considered (4pm - 7pm)
Algebra in the eighth grade - and even earlier. It's the law
in California, which has concluded that Algebra is the key to
college. So they're teaching it to younger students.
