Butler County Solid Waste Management is holding two separate recycling days
for area residents:

Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Saturday May 21, 2005 at Miami University's Hamilton campus from 9am to 3pm
Accepted: pesticides, herbicides, household and automotive batteries,
automotive fluids, mercury thermometers, varnishes, stains, paints, propane
tanks, acids and pool chemicals, other corrosive, toxic reactive or
flammable materials
Not accepted: ammo, explosives, fire extinguishers, oil or fuel tanks,
prescription medications, material from schools or farms or industrial or
commercial sources



Appliance Recycling Event
Saturday June 11, same place and times as above
Accepted: refrigerators, freezers, AC's, dehumidifiers, washers/dryers,
stoves, dishwashers, TV's, computers, water heaters
Not accepted: hazardous chemicals (see above date), fuel oil tanks, propane
tanks, furniture, mattresses, cabinets, shelving, tires, trash.
