Greetings
Yesterday we banded our 2nd (!) Connecticut Warbler at MUBO. We also banded
3 more Mournings, Canada's, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, and nearly 60
others! This morning at Hueston Woods station we banded another
Gray-cheeked Thrush (I think we have banded nearly a dozen in the last
week), a Wilson's Warbler, and 50 some odd other birds including a YB
Cuckoo, Cedar Waxwing, Veery, and Swainson's Thrushes. We heard but didn't
band another Connecticut Warbler near net 4, in the dense honeysuckle along
the trail that goes up to the restrooms and dam along the west side.
I'm off with my class for a day or so to Black Swamp Bird Observatory to
band big numbers of birds!!! [We banded 530 on may 14]
Cheers
Dave
