Thanks Ned for the Heads-up!

D'Oh! I got Jeffersonville,IN & Lawrenceburg, IN switched around in my
head. I guess if you're going through Jeffersonville, IN to get to
Muscatatuck then you're definitely taking the long way around.

You may want to double check the location of the Bullock's though. My
understanding of the circle is that it ends at 65 in Seymour, IN. 986
W. Harrod, Austin, IN is east of 65 and just slightly southeast of
Seymour which should put it within range for consideration of the Chili
Challenge.

But, like you said, either way they're probably worth the drive.

Good luck to anyone who goes searching!

Casey

Subject: Re: Chili Challenge Alert--Bullock's Oriole & Harris's
Sparrow--Indiana

Thanks for the heads up, Casey. Both birds have been present and
discussed for some time now on the Indiana listserv, so there's a good
chance they will still be around for a while. Unfortunately, both are
out of the Chili Challenge circle. The oriole is only a mile or so too
far; but New Albany, home of the sparrow, is just across the Ohio River
from Louisville - quite a bit beyond the circle. But regardless of
whether these are Chili birds, they're quite interesting for our area,
and probably worth a drive.
