Hi birders,
I'm seeing a few more purple finches this year at our feeders compared to
past winters.
We always see more females than males at the feeders; same for pileateds
and hairies - females come to the feeders, males don't as much. Anyone know
why?
Check out this male purple finch; no way one could confuse it with a house
finch. What a specimen!
Happy birding.

Best regards,
Tom
