In my experience, the Open Transport 2.6 upgrade won't install on any
machine that is not affected by the problem. (You can only install it
on Mac OS 9, Mac OS 8.6 for PowerMacintosh G4, iBook, and iMac
Slot-loading.)
Usually the machine causing the denial of DHCP service won't be the
one getting the 169.x.x.x address.
