Ryan,
There is a great website we refer our students to with specific
instructions and screen shots for logging in from a Mac (Windows
instructions are there as well).

Go to: http://www.muohio.edu/munet/

Scroll down and select the University Disk Space link.  Note:
connecting to the UDS only works from an ethernet connection. I've
not had much success trying to do this over dialup.

Once the server is mounted on the desktop you can create and alias
for future logins.
