The Diane Rehm Show, 10-12 noon (*2 full hours on WMUB)

10-11: Desalination: In the 1960s, scientists developed several ways
to turn saltwater into freshwater. Today, demand for fresh water has
grown so high in some regions that desalination is getting a second
look. But it's still a far-from-perfect solution to the world wide
water shortage. A panel talks about desalination technology and how
it might change water management in the United States.
Guests: Erik Olson, Natural Resources Defense Council; Andrew
Macoun, World Bank; Richard Drew, Florida Department of Environmental
Protection; David Furukawa, former president of the International
Desalination Assn

11-12: Kim Masters: Investigative journalist Kim Masters shares her
account of the power struggles within the Disney empire in her new
book, "The Keys To The Kingdom" (William Morrow). She takes us behind
the scenes for a closer look at this most Hollywood of corporate
tales.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross, 12:06-1 p.m.

OM PURI, one of the stars of Bollywood. That's Bombay, the film
capital of India. Om Puri is becoming better known to western
audiences through his role in "My Son the Fanatic" and "East is East."
