I am a fan of the Connells, and above everything, I'm interested in the
evolution of the band.

Look at the Beatles catalog of albums. People who adored "A Hard Days
Night" probably despised the White Album when it was introduced. I bet if
you asked those same people today what they think, they'd probably rate it
as a great Beatles album with some classic songs & note that it's an
important part of who The Beatles were & where they were going at that time.
If you are a huge Connells fan, in 20 years, when you open up your old CD
collection --the ones that your children will make fun of like we used to
make fun of 8-Tracks-- you'll see a bigger picture, a wiser picture about
this band's music than you'll ever see now. I bet you $20 bucks that
anything you weren't sure you liked, you'll love and rate it up there with
some of your favorites.

The Connells may never or should never be compared to the Beatles. For me,
the Connells speak my language, impress me more than they disappoint me, and
I continue to appreciate that they make music that really clicks for me.
More than any other band I've listened to. Also important is that each time
I've had the pleasure of grabbing a bite with them, have many a drink with
them before & after a show, they're always very open and
gracious...something I bet I'd never have experienced with John, Paul, Ringo
& George. I never could have gotten that close with the Beatles & I know
that probably affects my opinion, but I don't care. Does this make sense to
anyone else?

I think we just need enjoy the music that's given to us while we can because
it's a fleeting thing and it will be gone someday, later rather than sooner.

Jack
