Oh, I don't think people were comparing one song to entire albums...at
least I wasn't. I think the comparison was between the older stuff and
the more recent stuff, and the trend of the more recent stuff, "Rusted
Fields" being an example. I, personally, think "Rusted Fields" (and a
lot of the other new stuff that a lot of you haven't heard--sorry) is a
welcome departure from what I like to call "angry divorce songs", of
which there were an abundance on Still Life.

Going by what I've heard, there's a pretty good mix: uptempo numbers
("31", "Bust", "Put Down"), slower introspective ones ("Rusted Fields",
"Gladiator Heart", "Nowhere" if it makes it), goofy fun ones ("Back in
Blighty"), and even George's jazzy number ("The Deal".) MacMillan has
one that I haven't heard, but I've heard good things about. Of course,
they've gone back to the tried-&-true method of using mostly Mike's
songs (7 out of the 9-10 I know about)--but that's how they've made
money in the past.
